There is much to be learned about the history of African Americans. There are countless stories buried in the dirt...waiting to be told..and Music is Spirit has an ear to the ground!
Our performances are based on actual historical figures such as, ElizabethThompson, a runaway slave from Liberty, Mo. who settled in Quindaro, Kansas. She is the great grandmother of Nancy J. Dawson, Music is Spirit Artistic Director.
